K - Laser treatments can help heal and regenerate the nerves in the shoulder!

The shoulder is a ball and socket joint that allows for a wide range of movement. It’s made up of several key structures such as bones held in place by muscles, tendons, and ligaments. They all work together
to allow the shoulder to move freely in different directions from raising your arms over your head to throwing a baseball, combing your hair, getting dressed, or scratching your back.

Shoulder pain can interfere with your movement, like the inability to lift the arm overhead, sleep during the night, especially when trying to lay on the shoulder. In addition, shoulder pain can be dull, achy, sharp, and or severe. The onset can be gradual or sudden, triggered or worsened by everyday activities, overuse or by exertion, rest or inactivity of the shoulder. It could also be accompanied by muscle spasms, numbness, tingling, arm weakness, shoulder stiffness, and swelling.

If you’ve tried everything from resting the shoulder joint, taking over the counter anti inflammatory drugs, applying heat or ice, and used other medications that might include injections of corticosteroids or considered surgery that can have certain risks and potential complications, including infection, then, you may want to consider a drug free and non-surgical alternative treatment called the Class IV K - Laser Therapy.

Mobility of the shoulder may have its price if you factor in wear and tear of everyday life.  Wear and tear in the cartilage of the shoulder may lead to arthritis. It may also lead to frozen shoulder which is a condition affecting the inner lining of the shoulder that can become inflamed and tight, leading to pain and loss of movement in the shoulder. Next, there may be a dislocation of the shoulder joint that is most often caused by an athletic injury or fall that can lead to tears of the soft tissues around the shoulder.

So how does the K - Laser treatment work and how can it help with shoulder pain? During K - Laser treatments the laser is placed directly on the area of the shoulder where the pain is. By running the laser across the shoulder, inflammation is reduced internally and as a result helps to stimulate the blood flow and helps to accelerate the body’s natural healing processes to repair damaged and weakened tissues.

During the treatments you may experience a warm sensation on the shoulder area from the red infrared light. The treatments are painless and are extremely soothing and relaxing. Treatments can last anywhere from 5 - 10 minutes and many patients notice a distinct improvement after three or more treatments.

K - Laser treatments can help heal and regenerate the nerves in the shoulder. K - Laser works to relieve nerve inflammation, and increase blood flow throughout the affected area, increase circulation, decrease pain and swelling. K - Laser Therapy can also help repair and regenerate damaged tissue but drawing nutrients, oxygen, and water into the inflamed soft tissue.
