The importance of having a proper functioning Nerve System

What is a subluxation? A subluxation is a slight misalignment of the vertebrae that can be related to many health problems. Having a subluxation can put immense pressure on the brain stem causing a decrease in blood and nerve flow to the brain. A decrease in blood flow lowers oxygen and may disrupt the nerve system. Interference with nerve communication can be linked to foggy thinking, forgetfulness, dizziness, aches and pains, inflammation, anxiety and feeling depressed.

How is a subluxation corrected? When there's a misalignment of the spine Dr. Gucciardo will do what is called a spinal adjustment. During a spinal adjustment gentle pressure is applied to the spine in a specific direction and location. The goal is to correct misalignment, ease pain, and support the body's natural ability to heal itself.

After an adjustment your spine becomes better aligned and there's an increase in blood and nerve flow to the brain. This blood flow provides oxygen and nutrients throughout the body, helping us remain both mentally and physically alert. Following up with regular Chiropractic adjustments can help improve quality of sleep, clearer thinking, more relaxed, handle stress much easier and better overall physical and mental health.

As you guys can see our bodies can be under constant physical or mental stress so it's important to have a proper functioning nerve system. Did you know Dr. BJ Palmer was the developer of Chiropractic? He purchased the Clear View Sanitarium in Davenport Iowa. It was the most famous of all Chiropractic Sanitariums for mental health disorders and existed for 35 years.
BJ Palmer cleared the facility out to take care of his patients through the use of Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care. He had medical staff at Clear View help wean patients off their medications as he and his staff helped patients with their subluxations by correcting them. There were cases of depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorders which were all treated with great results.
Diet was also an essential part of the healing process. He fed his patients healthy foods, grass fed cattle, had them exercise and relax. He was a genius well beyond his years.
